Did you use an Allison filter. Some aftermarket are built incorrect. I checked an aftermarket filter and found when you replace the magnet it will cover the outer ring of holes in the filter. Too much $ in the tanny to use aftermarket junk!

Worked for the last 30 years at at hard rock mine and we used the waste limestone to pave the plant roads. It will rust out a vehicle in a heart beat! O2 + H2O = rust

Check fluid level. Also, have you changed the spin on filter? Follow instructions in the owners manual. Should have been at 5,000 miles. Might check the gas filter. Some units sit in the yard and get rust in the gas tank.

It's nice to have a 4 doors. Some times you meet people that you might want to go out with at a campsite. And they only have a 2 door. Plus the back seats fold down to add more room to carry your stuff.

Drill and tap a small hole in the section where the blade stores in the open position. Oil the blade in the open position. Then put a small screw in the taped hole to prevent any leaks. Try this if white grease does not work on the shaft. I have found that the white grease on the shaft works for me.

I have a 97, but I still feel 17 while driving around town. For some reason I have to do doughnuts in the dirt each time ;) Just can't seem to leave like a responsbile professional adult like I am for the rest of my life ;) Top down tunes cranked ;)
Just don't try and have a normal conversation at highway speeds with the top down...and you'll be making friends with the local gas station attendant alot.
But still, its my 3rd Jeep and I forget why I sold the other two ;)Most people do not understand! IT'S A JEEP thing!

Mine did the same thing. Call BB and they said to check the rubber seat inside the regulator. It had jumped out of it's seat. Put back and works fine now. The service at BB walked me through the repair. About a 15min job.

Just stop at any truck stop and buy a fast idle stick. They will have them in the trucker's section. Cheep! I use one on by school bus all the time.

Turn the key only to unlock the steering wheel (Acc on). Follow the instructions in the owner's manual, less battery disconnect. If you think the battery mignt run down, just start the Jeep at the end of each day.

I never disconnect the battery. Just make sure the radio is off. If you are going to leave it hooked to the tow bar for a long time, it might help to pull the above fuse.
